OUR HISTORY

It was 1985 when Gary and Donald Miller began building cabinets in a backyard shop at Don’s house. A building they built for that purpose. That’s where Miller Brothers Custom Cabinets began. Moving forward 15 years to 2000, Miller Brothers made the move to join forces with Jim and Alice Graybill, founders of the original Sarasota Cabinetry. The two companies merged to became Sarasota Cabinetry Inc. With Graybill’s retirement in 2003 they sold their portion of the company to the Millers, who continued perfecting their craft to become a state-of-the-art custom cabinet company. Over the years Gary and Don’s sons learned first-hand how to design and build cabinets. In 2023, after 38 years of designing and creating custom indoor and outdoor kitchens, bathrooms, closets, wall units, libraries, and furniture, the inevitability of retirement was upon the brothers. Daniel Miller, Gary’s youngest son, who had worked under their tutelage since he was in high school, purchased Sarasota Cabinetry Inc. Dan kept his dad and uncle on board, semi-retired, making the transition of ownership seamless. Today, nearly 40 years later, Sarasota Cabinetry continues and thrives serving Sarasota and Manatee Counties including the island communities, building and installing high quality custom built American made cabinets.
